Looking at this sleek little light with a battery pack small enough to fit underneath the stem of your handlebar, if it’s not too short, makes me wonder how it manages to give so much light. You tighten it, like the Magicshine light, with a rubber strap. The battery pack gets tightened up with Velcro. It’s quick and easy to fit and works just as easily.
It’s only got one LED which means only one focus point and less area covered. This doesn’t mean that it’s useless though. As seen in the photo it covers a lot.
The cable is short enough not to be in the way even if you didn’t make any effort in tucking it away. I’m finicky when it comes to cables/wires being in the way. It’s safe to say that this light won’t be a problem.
They also made a helmet strap so you can braai with it if you feel like it. The reason why I say this is because I don’t wear these things on my helmet if it’s made for handlebars. The strap is pointless and probably won’t be used.
The note in the box claims that this light can last anything from 3.5 to 6 hours which to me is brilliant. I tend to forget to charge even my phone sometimes. Having a light with a battery that lasts this long won’t be a problem then. They also claim that the LED can last for up to 50 000 hours before you need to make the effort of finding a new globe.
What I don’t like though is that this thing only warns you that it’s starting to get flat at 10%. It’s on green from 100-10% and then after that it’ll indicate red. They reckon you’ll have 20 minutes still left after it switches over.
